Check your history - in 1998, at the height of the Lewinski hype, Clinton made several speeches and proposals to go after Sadaam because of his failure to adhere to the cease fire he signed at the end of the Gulf War (Sadaam had thrown out the UN inspectors). Basically, the same argument but there was no follow through. Clinton fired a few missles and called it a day. Problem not dealt with (ie, still no compliance with cease fire agreement) but what the heck?
