Well, if you cannot see the implicit pejorative in coupling the term low-class with Redneck, then I cannot argue with you. There was certainly a marked arrogance to his manner of questioning. He said something to the effect of what makes these people think this behaviour is "cool" as if, in his mind, it was certainly "uncool". His cultural biases made the question seem arrogant, as then did his further use of terms such as "low class" and "redneck". These terms can, in fact, be used in quite derogatory ways, just as the term nigger can be. Though African Americans will call themselves this freely doesn't mean the term is a nice one. The term low-class, as described in the dictionary, also means vulgar and crude. Hardly pretty words. :) If I have read into his statements more than I should have, then forgive me. This was not my intent.
