You don't see the arrogance in his question?

I think I see more arrogance in your response than even his question. But geeze,
It is a matter of low class behavior, not a matter of prudiness
Calling someone Low-Class because he doesn't like shirts or shoes is about as arrogant as you get.
To say that only lower-income people like to take their shirts off is even more arrogant. Hell, 90 percent of us rednecks here in the country are upper-middle class. After all, who can afford to live in the country except people with good jobs. Look around here, 100,000+ dollar homes everywhere. and everywhere you look people have their shirts off. Hell, the neighbor through my woods has her shirt off for sunbathing often :)

I walk into walmart without shoes on. I walk into gas-stations bareback plenty. I almost never put on my shirt until I get to where I am going.

I suddently have a view of mountaineer as the fatkid who is embarrassed to take his shirt off.

I'm a clod-buster who never cared much what anyone thought about bare-back nor barefoot.
The day after I broke my leg I had a manager in walmart say I couldn't come into walmart without my shoes on. My foot was swollen and I was in a wheelchair.
I told her to get out of my way, "I'm sure the cashier will take my money"

I want to hereby stand up for my right to go barefoot and bareback.
I'm disgusted by bare-heads though :) lol
