Well, Susie, this is probably not the time or place, but...

Being the practical and unromantic person that I am, I don't believe there is one soul mate for everybody. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with, as the song goes.

My husband and I are polar opposites. I am an extovert who adores all kinds of people. He is painfully shy, mysterious, elusive, and reclusive. He is like a wild animal who likes very few and trusts even less. But for some strange reason, he loves and trusts me. Surely, if I were to leave him, then I would break his heart. I have been his one and only love. I see this, but I can't relate to it, because although I am his world, to me my world is so much larger.

As far as my father, he is recovering very slowly, and we have more hope than we ever did before. Thank you for your kind thoughts and for listening to me.
