if you think Angel gave a rats ass about the sex. He left FOR her--for her best interest. And yes Buffy having a physical relationship was important to him--he knew she would one day need that. And he couldn't give her that, but he knew that she would stay with him anyway--because they loved each other!!!! So he left behind the only person he ever loved so that she would not have to suffer. Spike even said himself in "Lovers Walk" that Buffy and Angel would always love one another so he shouldn't be suprised or angry-----Spike is cool, I like Spike--but they have seriously screwed him up--he was better evil. And yes, he'll be funny on Angel--but we've already got a hero on that show!!
