Subject: why we keep coming back

Joss not only gives a great story with a kick-ass leader--he gives us characters we can relate to and care about. All the continuity of the show and the eps geared around each individual (you know--there's been at least one ep focused on each core character) leads us to believe we "know" these people. And who wouldn't want to have a circle of friends like Buffy?? And as outlandish as some of their situations may seem to the non-watchers of the Buffyverse, they all have greater meaning and reflect everyday life. And yes Buffy has has to deal with a lot --and she's done a phenomonal job--but I believe Xander, Giles, and Willow are just as incredible for doing all they have without ever being told they were "chosen ones"--well, Giles was --but then he was relieved of his duty. And speaking of Giles, I'm really hoping for a tender moment between him and Buffy before the end. I'll never forget when Trevor fired him because he said he had a "father's love" for the child. The look on his and Buffy's face was just so endearing--another fav moment of mine. Just a couple more days *weep*
