Coming through the gate, two toe-headed brothers—apparently twins—talk amongst themselves. From the bows slung over their shoulders and the knives at their waists, as well as the few rabbits they have with them, they appear to be returning from hunting. Neither of them appear to be extroidinarily happy.

"I can' believe ye let it git away like that!" one complains. "'Twas right infront o'ye. Right thare! Ye couldna had a bett'r shot, I say."

The other youth glares at his brother. It looks as though he's been harrassed on this point for a while now. "Ah told yew!" he snaps. "Ah dinna jest let et git away. Et jest disappeared! Jest like that! Inna thin air. If yew hadna walked off lik that, yew wouldda seened et."

"I dinna jest walk off! I 'eard music, I wanted t'go see what it was."

"Weel, Ah dinna hear no music. An' yew dinna see the great beast disappear. Sew we both get things we donna und'rstand. But Ah tell ye, the thing jest vanished. Like magick."

"Right, weel, alla same. 'Twas a great fine beast. Ne'er seen a stag like et, I 'aven't. Pity we counda killed it."

"Aye, 'tis."

Their argument settled, the two continue on back to their home.
