It is not common, it is simply a way to connect with another for the use of stimulation. I don't think there are many spirits who do this. The ones who usually do or attempt is lower life for enities and they are not spirits but energy beings who vibrate on lower frequencies than our brian waves.

We had a disucssion about this in #Psychic_Growth. The best way to deal with this and why is the
following:
Latent stuff like that will come out in dreams - but it can attract that level of spirit to you - out of
the dream state. It is for the you to get a hold of the situation and say you don't accept that level of spirit.

Earthbound spirits include those who will not let go of the material part of their lives - lust is still a
key concern for them - they will be attracted to those who crave the same thing. Being human, we all have desires. But you can demad & control the lower spirits to stay away.

Being human and spirit we can veer from spiritual to base very quickly - so we need to be in control - and decide which side will come out stronger. You can still be spiritually aware -but they are hampered in your progress until you take control of the lower stuff. Some people are so happy to get spirit communication - they accept anything. I believe in getting rid of the baser spirit and demanding a higher communication. It is for the person to make the stand. Until they do - their progress will be hampered.
