with evp's iv had good luck with both the old and the new. but for some reason i prefer the older sites. im planning on checking out some older, turn of the century buildings in town, so far iv only tried cemeteries. one building i will be trying first, a friend of mine and i have had some contact with spirits in. her contact was a bit physical, the spirit for some reason felt the need to pinch her on the rear. by her reaction when it happened i would say she was pinched pretty hard.

Hi,
Like you I have found old or new doesn't make a difference, but being physical humans, we are more drawn to the old section.
Best thing to do, is relax your mind and go to the area you are drawn to.
Or just walk around slowly with it on, sometimes you just get a voice that way.
As you enter the cemetery tell the spirits you aren't there to harm their resting place, when you leave thank them. I find talking to them I get more communication.
I also tell them they can't follow me home.
I am a sensitive to the spirit realm, they do follow me.

there is something about the old stuff. i find it more interesting with the thought of some history behind it.
i havent thought of just quietly walking around with the recorder. that is something i will try the next time i go out. but it does seem that iv had more voices being picked up while the recorder is still in my hand. and less if i set it down somewhere. and speaking to the spirits does work. when i picked up a womans voice saying "shouldnt stop talking to me" it was right after i had said why i was there and after expressing the desire to communicate. she wanted to listen to me more than talk herself i guess. i plan on going back to that same spot soon to try and contact her again. im sensitive to the spirit realm myself and im glad to say that i havent been in the situation of being followed home. and wouldnt wish to be. in a number of places iv lived, they were already there anyway.
