Subject: Web Site wants $10.00 to let me submit my true ghost story on their site.

It's nice to find a page like yours where one can submit their true ghost stories for free. I went to a site called "O'Neill's Ghost Stories" and the following info was given on his submission page: "We are currently only accepting new stories that are
accompanied with $10 payment for editing and site support.
If this is acceptable, please send your story via e-mail
to editing@ghostories.com along with your daytime phone and best time to call. This information is necessary so that we may process your payment by credit card." Seems like he should be paying me rather. Tacky.

Hello. Yes, that does seem odd when you are giving THEM something (by submitting your story). Although I pretty much agree with you on this, in their defense, it can be expensive to run a web site if you do not use a free host like Geocities or Angelfire, etc. I think that they are going about it the wrong way, they should consider banners or selling something to make a profit. However, they don't seem to be having a problem getting the story submissions.
