In reply to: Limboland 's message, "Letters of introduction" on 17:01:48 05/26/00 Fri

My name is Heidi. I am one of the new members that joined the limbo group
today. My story to date: Last spring I started having problems with my
hands. Figured it was arthritis as my grandma has. Had blood work done, no
arthritis. Couple months later in summer, my legs felt heavy and I had
extreme trouble using them for couple weeks. More blood tests (for Lymes);
negative. Then I felt fine until Sept. when all feeling in left leg was gone
while riding my horse. This followed with heavy arms and legs (hard to
described the feeling). So, finally, doctor sent me to neuro who did brain
MRI which turned up one lesion (which they say "could be something, could be
nothing". ha, ha!

Then after two more months of the heavy feeling and now me occasionally
dragging my right leg when tired, the neuro (who thinks I'm now nuts...)
scheduled neck MRI. Of course, all results negative. More blood work; all
negative. I just had another brain MRI to compare with first one six months
ago and believe it or not, the one lesion is now smaller! Now neuro asks if
I've been exercising too much so that legs feel heavy??!!

As of now, I'm waiting for ins. co. to authorize spinal in hopes that
something shows up. Isn't that sad that I am actually hoping to be Dx just
so that I can stop feeling like an idiot and have people look at me like I've
lost my mind? Oh, that reminds me. I've also been forgetting ALOT. My
memory has all but left me. Does that happen to anyone of you? Also, today
my tailbone area is throbbing. No pain, just very aware of the area. Has
that every happened to anyone?

Sorry to go one about all of the above, but now you know about me.

On a personal note, I am 33 and have two girls ages 4 and 8. I like camping,
horses, reading, gardening, etc.

Thank you for listening to me and helping me believe I'm not "making all of
this up"!
