Hi!
My name is Joanne although on line I go by SAM. My problems started about two years ago. We had just moved and I had been stripping wallpaper like crazy when my arms would simply fall to my sides, at the time I figured I'd just been working to much on the walls.
late September I won't up with a stitch in my right shoulder and thought it would go away, a month later I couldn't sleep anymore so I went to my pcp and he
thought I had bursitus gave me oral steriod and a muscle relaxer, helped some but my hand started going tingly finally after several monthes of switching meds he sent me to rehab, where they did suspected a disc problem but before putting me through EMG and nerve conduction they did PT which helped then after a bad parent conference and a weekend of insnaity, christmas shopping and the nutcracker I couldn't move literally, went back to reahb dr. who did
an EMG and said yup and we should send you to a surgeon.
So off I went had an mri which confirmed a herniated disc at c6
one week before I had surgery symptons began in my left hand but they thought is was fall out from the disc, had surgery and was fine for one month, Then I wnet
back to rehab since I was tingling in left hand. My rehab guy did and EMG nerve test and found I had pinched a nerve in my left forearm ..go home don't bend arm for six weeks and come back
by the time I came back I had tingling in feet and hands. HE took one look at me and said Im not fooling around you
need to be seen by a nuero again.
new neuro listens to all my symptons, does an office test, I have hyper reflexes in my right leg and no responce when my feet are scraped. New MRI comes back clear, blood work comes back normal, Lp comes back normal.
gives me nuerontin and zanaflex which help but no answers, I asked outright do I have MS he says right now I can say you don' thave it...will it show up in 5 years I can't say.
So my symptons are:
buzzing in hands and feet that sometimes goes up my arms and legs. muscle twiches all over my body. buzzing tongue, tingling in my face, some balance problems, fequency( which I thought was just because I drink a lot of water)
muscle cramps, weakness that comes and goes in my arms, arms and legs get heavy, fatgue sometimes, heat sensitivety(should have had my husband put in the ac while he was home) pupils of eye are unequal sometimes, some blurred
vission in my periphal sight but I have 20/20 vision, some hand eye coordination problems.
Sorry this is so long, but its nice to know you all will understand.
SAM
