Subject: Confused after seeing doctor

First he said that there was something wrong and he would try to find (good right?). Then he questioned me and he got this suprised or confused look on his face. He did an exam and then said that if a psych doc had been in there he would have said I was depressed (MAD!! is more like it now! I do get sad sometimes from all this, but generally keep a good attitude and am content. I have been depressed in the past so I KNOW what it is like and this isn't it! I don't smile b/c I've seen the dorky pictures of me when I do and when I'm stressed my lips trimble too.) Anyway he said he did not think for my exam that I had MS, but he did order a cervical MRI, B-complex, Lymes and other bloodwork and had not seen any test results or other doc notes.

I know he is at least looking for the problem, but I still feel kind-of dumped on. He mentioned Guillian Barre syndrome (I think, hard to tell with his accent!), which I had thought of, but I really don't think that is it. I just don't know what to think anymore; I mean I'd like to have something cureable, but I know myslef better than him and have much in common with MS patients. He wants to see all of my personal notes about my symptoms and have nerve conduction studies done. All this testing is good, at the very least I feel I'm accomplishing something, but I can't help feeling that he is stuck on this being at least partially related to depression. In fact, he said that with it (my "depression")and the illness it was hard to tell which was causing which. I'm so discouraged and depressed (now anyway after this appointment!).

I don't know how to evaluate him; I will go back and get test results, but I'm not sure how much after that. What do you think? I feel struck down once again.
