My day starts off getting out of bed stiff and trying to get myself awake enough to get ready for work. Takes about an hr and half to get going. By the time I drive to work and walk to where the lab is, I am moving kind of slow. I work in the radiology dept as a registrar/scheduler.

When I work in the front office I am up and down off my stool putting orders up and taking care of patients who need to be registered or come in to pick up preps for their exams.

Every other week, I work in a scheduling room. There is just two of us and all we do is schedule patients for ct's/ultrasounds/special proceedures/general radiology/mammograms. Shortly we will be scheduling for the breast care center also. I look forward to my scheduling week b/c it is so peaceful and quiet and less stressful. The front office gets very stressful as we are also the radiologists secretary and we have 6 depts that we have orders to get out for plus all inpatients and er patients.
Sometimes the noise level is so bad I can hardly think! there is usually 3 in the front office unless someone is sick or on vacation.

All in All I really like my job and even though I am exausted at the end of the day and can hardly walk I want to try and work for 7 more years and then I can retire.
