First, I didn't indicate nor suggest that Eliza received any distributions from the settlement of the Estate. I'm just saying that Brandon was not strapped for cash. He wasn't rich but neither was he poor. The wedding plans in Mexico included the already rented (entire) hotel for the reception. Hardly what someone would do if he were low on funds.

Brandon may not have been rich by "Hollywood" standards but at least the money that he earned from his movies didn't go up in smoke and didn't go up his nose like it does so often in Hollywood.
