Subject: Katrina Pit Victims

Several friends of mine are doing animal rescue work in Gonzalez, LA in the aftermath of Katrina. Last night they rode out Rita in make shift shelters filled with almost nothing but pits. The rest of the dogs are being taken by shelters but no one will take the pits. The future of these dogs is becoming very shaky with rumors flying that they may be destroyed. My friends are willing to transport to any rescue willing to take dogs that are north and east of LA as they drive home when the time comes. Many of these dogs are young super friendly pits.

All of us are pit owners and bully dog lovers for many years. We know these dogs, the breed, the right temperament.

Please call around and contact any rescue in the east or west you may know who would be willing to help and take a pit or 2.Please call Max Steiner on site in Gonzalez Louisiana if you can be of help or have any ideas which would help save these dogs. Cell 202 361-7989

Time is growing very short for these dogs. They don't deserve to be the abandoned victims of Katrina.
