i aplaude yoour effort to educate the average person to the rigors of owning apbt . and your example of the dogs at the dog pound are very grafic and very true , pitbulls are by their very nature very human friendly and love to please us . the biggest problem about going to the selters are the fact that alot of them put down pitbulls without giving them a chance to even be adopted out . the breed is very malinged and misunderstood , if more people like yourself would take the time to educate and praise the traites that make this dog such a great breed then the propaganda the the media spews would be met with an understanding that most pitbull attacks occure from the dog bieng chaned to a doghouse with little or no human contact . if you put a human on a chain and see him once a day for 5 mins with no other contact ,let him loose and see what he might do if provoked or agravated . it is not the breed that needs to be legislated its the owners that get a pitbull cause they thing that its the newest coolest asseray . i think that if you are to have an apbt then you had better educate yourself so that when tour hit with "I CANT BELIVE THAT YOU HAVE A PITBULL" you can educte that person to the reality of the breed
