Subject: What to look for in a good petsitter???

I'm in need of finding a good petsitter very very quickly. What do I look for in them? How can I tell if this person is the one to choose? How many times do you think they should visit my dog before I actually leave him alone with them? My dog is not used to strangers and doesn't react well with them. Thanks!
