Is the dog a complete outside dog? If so, it will be okay as long as there is shade & like someone else suggested hose down an area for him. If the cocker has not been clipped or shaved for the summer I would suggest to the owner that B4 you did another visit, this would be a requirement.
My dog stays out but the humidity in Memphis is a bit too much that I have been reversing his schedule to stay in during the day & out at night.
I would NOT go over there for additional visits WO getting paid. This is something the owner will expect of you in future visits if you are keeping a daily log.....
You sound like a compassionate person, just remember you're in a business not a charity.
