I think you can take anyone along on a job, but if they aren't covered under your insurance and something happens you can be facing some financial situations you would rather not. Of course, it is always better to let the client know who you are bringing along, as if a neighbor tells the client instead of you they might complain. PSA does cover children and spouses for an additional fee, so it might be worth checking out.
