Hi--I started in August of 99 and most of my clients have been from the local paper advertising and the other half from the vets referrals. I do try to thank them with a gift at the holidays and a nice note, as the girls up at the desk (receptionists) are the ones that usually give out the names. One Dr. said he only gave out pet sitters that were insured, and I am the only one in this city at this time. So, that will help! Also, keep in mind that summer fairs are a good way to put out your cards. (Business fairs, healthy living fairs, as pets are good to keep us peaceful when the stress is on.)
