Geez you guys-I like this board so much better! It's so much more open, like the other one. The new one of Jim's is so difficult....
Anyway, this is a neat idea, to get to know each other-hope more post on themselves!
I'm 30, live in Littleton, CO. I've been 'piddling' with petsitting for about a year. It's going well-I have done almost no advertising. I'm a Dr's assistant at an animal hospital and most of my clients have been referals from there. Those of you who like the animals over people-I'm with you!! Yes, somedays I'm in tears from what the events at the hospital involving the animals, but more often it's the people that I get irked with. I've been there for over 2yrs and I guess you kinda get used to alot of the animal stuff.I'm currently taking a course through American Animal Hospital Association in animal nursing(starts tomorrow)-I am looking forward to that. It's a hands-on type thing where I'll learn procedures through the hospital. I've always, always wanted to work with animals. I currently have 4 cats, one dog, a fish, 2 kids and a husband...which is why I've only 'piddled' with the petsitting! I'm so busy with everything, I can only do so many sits on top of everything else. My goal is, though, to cut back to one or two days a week at the hospital this fall and take on more sits. We'll see how the summer goes.
Sorry so long, all! It's good to 'see' you all here!
