Hi,

To be a little bit blunt, the fact that the Zeebrugge raid, certainly the landing on the mole, became catastrophic, how else can we explain the loss of so many British lives, had to do with Sir R. Keyes himself, who had underestimated the whole thing and certainly the part concerning the preparations. The German losses on the mole were so minimal, that were talking numbers nobody dares to believe. It is even harder when you see that only a handfull of men stopped the landing itself.
There also seems to be real proof that not Matrose Kunne and Cdr Harrison killed eachother, but that is wat a battle with Brock ! Althought very unfortunately the CWGC doesn't want to hear the version that I share with a number of people. They simply do no answer ! I say and I'll say it again that Brock is burried at Zeebrugge.
Neither right is the story of the Matrosen Radfahrer Abteilung passing over the claire voie when she was blown up by C3.
And note that some of the official narratives on the raid still remain on a list of secret and official propaganda at the IWM.
History is only worth learning lessons of if it is represented in the way it really happend.
Which has nothing to do with the bravery of the men who did the attack, as they certainly proved what they dared to do ! Heroism yes, but success, no I'm sorry. A slaughter of men.

Best from Johan
