Just so everyone knows, the proposal is to de-establish Triple N Ranch and re-establish it as part of Bull Creek. This will mean the former Triple N property will have ALL THE SAME REGULATIONS (or lack there of) as Bull Creek, except that the hunter quota will likely be INCREASED to reflect the increase in huntable area. If this happens you can say goodbye to any and all quality game on the Triple N property.

While I agree that some things could be done to mitigate the over-use of the area (i.e. limited harvest, quality deer management through antler/harvest rules, etc.), none of these ideas are on the table at this time. It appears to be an all or nothing deal.

I seems to me to be irresponsible to change the quality management practices of Triple N without having some way of minimizing the destructive impacts of over-use IN PLACE BEFORE the changes are made. Once the new (same as Bull Creek) rules are in adopted they will be impossible to change, and we'll end up with the same type of over-exploited area on Triple N as we have on Bull Creek.

Anyone ever hunt Bull Creek during (or after) the quota hunt? It's SCARY! Ditto for spring turkey season.

Just some more of my ramblings...

Doon
