Fair enough, Gina. But with this whole thing, i honestly dont think we know the entire situation. The guy was fired a week later, ok, that doesn't mean that Brad insisted they fire him. What probably happened is that Brad did tell someone of the situation, they freaked out and fired the guy. Brad may or may not even know that happened, do you know how many extras and random people work on a set daily? He doesn't know this dude from Adam. Judging by his reaction, when the guy handed him the tract, if he was so threatened by it, he would not have reacted as normally as he did to it and nodded and said "sure, i'll look at it". I bet he later told someone about it as a joke, like "look what this guy handed to me" and it got blown out of proportion by the people associated with the movie. But I can't say i fully blame the people who fired him, as i truly think it is beyond inappropriate to address these kind of things in a workplace. If you want to keep a Jesus statue by your workstation, great for you, i can only applaud you for it. You're not harassing anyone with it, if people see it and it strikes a chord with them, great, if not, i'm sure no one is offended by it either and rightly so (if any atheist or whoever would ever be offended by a statue of Jesus or any other religious symbol at someone's desk, then i'm sorry, but they are very ignorant indeed and that doesn't speak for all atheists either!).
But all i'm saying is, it's very different when people literally push it onto others. We have a lot of these evangelists in the subway preaching straight to people, like, they would stop next to a person of their choosing and start a sermon right to them. Not kidding, i've seen it happen before. They are lucky that i was never one of the people they've "chosen" because they would experience the first coming of Satan if that were to happen to me, no lie LOL
I dont think him getting fired was extreme at all, but maybe getting "blacklisted" might've been. Then again, let's take what he says here with a grain of salt, what the heck is being "blacklisted" mean for someone like him??? He is a total nobody, not like they sent out a memo with his name and picture on it and told studios not to hire him, he is a freakin' extra, at best, give me a break LOL Methinks someone decided to spin a sob story far bigger than what it is to gain publicity off of it. Wouldn't be the first time and sure as heck isn't the last. The guy got fired for inappropriate behavior on a set involving a major movie star, decided 'hey, let me see if i can get my 15 mins of fame out of it" and then the rest, as they say, is history.
