Hi there,

Of course i speak Russian fluently, you didnt know that about me??? Come on, when we met and all the times we spoke, you couldn't tell i have an accent? LOL I think you may have just forgotten :)

To say that "God wasn't invited" is a little harsh, God is always there and for that reason He needs no formal invitation. :)

I haven't been to Syria, i've been to Israel, which is really beautiful too but Italy def takes the cake. It's even more beautiful than the Greek islands, i was there in 2008 and thought Santorini is the most beautiful place on earth. Until i saw Capri in south of Italy
We weren't in the north part of Italy at all, we were in central and south part so that earthquake was far from us, i didnt even know about it until my mother in law sent us a frantic email a few days later bec she too didnt know where exactly we were lol
And why do you think the window has closed on all of this for you? You're only 50 years old, Gina, that is much much too young to be talking like that!! This makes me very sad actually, it's never too late to have your dream trip, i think you should talk your hubby into it. He will only be too happy to go to Italy. Why you would want to go to Syria is beyond me though, that's like going to Iraq right now, very dangerous. Lebanon, i totally get, you have roots there but why Syria??

It's funny, Italy was full of people over 50 (we are talking 60's and 70's!), it was tons of retiree couples traveling together everywhere we looked. In Tuscany and Amalfi Coast in particular we felt like we were the youngest ones, especially on a few of the tours we took. So if people in their 70s dont think their "window is closed", i dont know why you would. If anything, now is the time to go travel, when your kids are grown and moved out of the house. Think about it, buddy :)

Ok, will send you pics in the next couple of days

big hugs,
Myst
