Awww, walk down the memory lane. How things has changed....I truly think he was in love with her at that point still, i dont think him and Jolie was together yet, they already started shooting M&MS but i dont think anything was going on. It's sort of sad, i remember not really liking the two of them together but watching this interview (and there was then a link on the right to an interview JA did with Oprah about a year later, 6 months or so after the divorce, she was so genuine and sweet and sincere in that interview, without saying a bad word about the whole thing, when it was so easy to say a few somewhat bitter things about it....) And now seeing how crazy his life is these days with Jolie, and the brood of kids and constant traveling all over the world and not having anything stable, i sort of get nostalgic for the relationship he had with JA, i dare say i didnt appreciate it at the time. But him saying how "everyone crowds around her like next to a fire to keep warm and how she brings people together and is all about family", i dont think he's ever said anything like that about Jolie, he has said she's a good mother, but its def was never to this level....The crazy thing is, this year is pretty much 7 yrs since him and Jolie got together, so he's been with her for as long as he's been with JA, if not longer. Oh well, i'm glad JA got engaged and is happy, it is how it should be!
Thanks for the interview. My personal fave Oprah interview of his though is one from 1998, when he was promoting MJB, that is and always will be my absolute favorite interview he's ever done!
So sorry about your brother in law, once again, that is very touching that you're planning something special as a tribute to him at Rachel's wedding, i am sure it will be an amazing moment. less than 2 weeks to go, ha, so exciting. i think i am counting it down along with you!!! :) Hope you resolved all the little wrinkles that were stressing you out with regards to the guests attending, plus ones, kids being invited, etc etc
