I really felt the same as you about guns until my hubby explained it to me that you always have the right to bear arms. He explained it as you don't want the police and the bad element the only ones who have guns, imagine how unsafe that would be. And you know the people who use them to murder would find a way to get them regardless. I never liked guns, when my kids were little I wouldn't allow them in the house but with my hubby being a Marine, now he has quite a collection. I must admit, I don't think I could ever shoot anyone but if they were hurting someone I love or one of my dogs, I would probably fire at them. I know my hubby would, course he knows how to use them. That makes the difference.
