I wouldn't take the Jesse James movie as a good example on how his public appeal is. Apart from the fact that I still think it is as strong as ever, the Jesse James movie is said to be a very quiet, almost art-house film. And even A-list stars have their flops.

I heard there will be a limited release first, so it can't really open big. Don't expect Troy or Smith-like figures, it is just not a mainstream film like the aforementioned. I think this could only be a moderate hit, if anything. Westerns are tough to sell these days anyway.
