I don't think that makes Brad in any way special. A lot of movie stars had several films in a row that weren't big hits and didn't lose their star-appeal. I remember Bruce Willis had a string of flops in a row in the early 90ies, but that didn't hurt his boxoffice appeal. I remember a producer once said that an A-list-moviestar can have a few flops in a row without doing any damage to his moviestar-status. He added that after 8 big flops in a row it could become a problem for the star and he/she should look for a job on tv again. (That's what happened to Don Johnson, right?)

But who really has more than 8 flops in a row? That very rarely happens.

Look at Brad's boxofficefigures in an earlier thread (Brad vs. Angie). Even the films you mentioned made so much money outside the US that in the end tthe studios made money with Brad.

Yes, Gina, Fight Club was really a flop and Brad's weakest money-grosser since he became famous. But still, it managed to gross more than $ 100 mio worldwide.
But today everyone speaks about the cult-classic that FC has become. Isn't it interesting that when the film was released Brad himself said that this film will one day have a special place in film-history? And today we know, he was right. He really had the right feeling. He sure knows something about movies ;-)
