The president of the Atlanta chapter of the NAACP criticized the prosecution of Vick at a news conference Monday morning. Dr. R.L. White, Jr., accused the government of "piling on."

"There's a penalty in football for piling on," White told reporters. "After a player has been tackled and somebody piles on, they're penalized for unnecessary roughness. Today, the NAACP blows the whistle and warns the powers that be that you are piling on."

Ummm excuse me? Seriously Dr. R.L. White, Jr. should sit down and shut up!! Considering the crime, I say he is getting exactly what he deserves. Where was the compassion for those dogs? I don't think it is the government piling it on, I believe there is a high power at work. Maybe in the end Michael Vick will be saved by taking responsibility for his actions and admitting to himself that he has evil demons to allow himself to fund such a practice as a dog fighting ring. If he doesn't take responsiblity, if he believe's his fame and his money can buy him his way out of this, he deserves whatever he gets.

Whoahhhh, amazing to me that anyone would thinking defending this man's actions would be a wise step. I would think not.

I need to vent about this from time to time. Makes my blood boil. And it is everywhere so it is hard to ignore. It is like I am meant to hear the outcome no matter how hard I try to ignore it. Seems with every untruth he speaks, things get a little more intense for him.
