Welcome, Nikita! I agree, if you were enjoying the conversations on this board, you should've joined. There's no point in lurking, that only makes us feel like we are alone here
As for Tree of Life, believe it or not, i have not seen it yet either. This has been the longest time i have EVER gone without seeing a Brad movie that came out. It opened in NYC on May 26, and now i believe opened in the rest of the country. I kept meaning to see it but most of June was crazy busy almost every weekend and my man poo-pooed it and refused to go see it with me.His main complaint was that it looked boring in the previews (he still rips into me for making him sit through Curious Case of BB, even though i still think that's one of the greatest movies ever, he just thought it was long as all hell LOL) My dad, however, saw TofL very recently and loved it, he couldn't stop raving about it!! (and my dad is one tough movie critic, he hates most mainstream movies and would always make fun of me for seeing stuff like Troy and so on) But said this movie is incredible so it makes me want to see it even more. Will try to see it this Friday for sure!
Not sure what it is about the movie that actually causes people to walk out, i guess it's one of those either love it or hate it flicks. My dad said it had a lot of "creation of the world" and "cosmos" ideas, which i suppose might not sit well with religious folk. My dad, being agnostic like myself, really thought it was a piece of art, this movie. So you know, i think it's one of those things we can judge for ourselves only after we see it. I'll let you know my thoughts but have a feeling i will like it, i am really into stuff like that.
Myst
