He should feel grateful that they can afford to go to a hotel when they need alone time away from the children. Most people can't afford that let alone finding someone to stay with the children while they do a weekend getaway. When I think of it, I never wanted to, I wanted to be with my children every chance I got. I even followed them to school and voluneered in the lunchroom and the playground. I wouldn't trade a moment of being a hands on mom for what these two have at their fingertips. From having a team of nannies when it gets to be too much, to going off to a hotel whenever they feel overwhelmed by the children and need alone time. For me, once the children came the excitement of being alone together was finding a way to fit it in without disrupting anything in our normal routine. Course there is a big difference too, normal routine for their children is to pack their bags, we're moving again.
