Well, i'm not the most traditional type (as you know, haha! For instance, We are having my fiance's former sketch comedy teacher marry us, the guy used to be writer for Saturday Night Live and pals around with Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, he is sort of a big deal. But needless to say it's not going to be a religious ceremony LOL) HOWEVER, i am totally with you on the proper wording of the invitations. I was doing research into it myself and yes, when the parents foot the bill, it is absolutely imperative to have them present the bride and groom in the invitation. I haven't started doing my invitations yet (will tackle it next month) but i know that i will definitely recognize my parents and my man's parents in it (his parents are also split up and his mom remarried but they have a very amicable relationship still) Even though our parents are only helping us with a large portion of the wedding and not entirely covering the whole thing, it doesn't matter. I totally agree with you regarding the invites.

As for me, it's moving along, i went bridesmaid dress shopping with my girls yesterday. my wedding color is this particular shade of eggplant purple, reddish purple, not too blue, that's not always that easy to find (what can i say, i'm a designer, have to be particular about color LOL) so we spent the whole day shopping and it was sort of slim pickings, we have to look online. But i got my flowers totally figured out, all the centerpieces and the ceremony flowers, they're going to look fab, very unique, i am excited :) A close friend of mine is going to be making all the bouquets and flower accessories, she's really good at it, she got married in Sept and did all her own bouquets, which looked amazing. So i trust her to do a good job
So it's coming along little by little. I have to set up a wedding website and start working on the invitations soon and also research the honeymoon! :) Where does Rachel want to go on her honeymoon?

xo
