Oh, they didnt hand out tickets freely at all, Gina, that's just the thing!! The whole thing was so hush-hush. It was by emailed invitation only and they wouldn't reveal the location of the place till the morn of!! I kid you not. I was on that invite list because i am an interior designer and have connections but honestly, it was very exclusive. Then they specifically said in the email not to forward the invite to people since they are trying to keep the crowd under control and dont want it to be a mob scene. So i tell ya, all that made me pretty convinced Brad was showing up. You'd be too, if you were me. I almost think even they thought he was slated to be there and then he got pulled away by work at the last min....
Anyway, as a result of all that extra "security", the opening night party was actually quite small-scale, in terms of number of ppl, i felt like i was a part of some sort of secret club to even be attending LOL Frank Pollaro guy said that for the general admission days, that were the following 3 days after opening party (which you also had to RSVP for but which was advertised freely everywhere, unlike the opening party), they had such a huge response, that they had to close the list for about 500 of applicants! Sooooo, just sayin' :)
Yeah, you are probably right and it has to do with him being both the star and producer of Killing Them Softly. As a producer, he has money riding on it, so he'd be crazy not to make sure he promotes the crap out of this movie! LOL
