Wow, Gina, i am surprised your hubby got guns, why did he decide to get them this year all of a sudden? I just dont see the benefit of it at all, nothing good ever comes out of it. I hope he keeps it hidden under lock and key so that he is the only one that knows where it is. I also feel like if you disagree on his stance with regards to guns and dont want them in the house, you should've said something to him. It's your house too, you have a right to say what you want and what you dont want in the house , if this is an issue for you, you should've put your foot down. Guess i wouldn't last a day being married to your hubby, i am a little too feisty with my opinions *wink* But to be honest, i am not anti-2nd amendment, I dont advocate taking the guns away from law-abiding citizens, i just think that there needs to be a lot more thorough background checks and a LOT of restrictions to be able to purchase a gun. Any Joe Schmo should not be able to walk into a Wallmart and buy a rifle and that's how it currently is. They do background checks, they claim, but they are beyond lax about it and one should really have to go through a whole process to own firearms. And that extends to every member of the household, Adam Lanza's mother might have passed the background check to own the arsenal of weapons she did but in if they were to take a step further and actually do background checks on her whole family and found out that her son has mental problems, it should have been illegal for her to own those guns then. I think it needs to be that strict, like, they need to pay house visits to every registered gun owner in the system, see where they keep their guns and how secure they are, do a background check on every member of the household where the guns are located. It's that serious. I honestly think that's the only way. I dont think it would stop gun deaths altogether, there is always going to be a psycho who breaks in and steals someone else's gun or something but it sure as heck will diminish these types of horrific mass shootings..... Just my humble opinion.

As for Silver Linings Playbook, it's not totally about football but your son must've thought it was because football is a bit of its own character in the movie: the main character's father is a huge Eagles fan so there is a bit of a storyline with that. It's a great movie overall, i think both football fans and non-football fans can enjoy it equally :))
