This is a comment made from someone at FF about it. Sometimes there are very insightful comments between all the jibber jabber. This is one of them.

As much as I hate to admit it, I do agree with Pitt. The environmental damage aside, ELEVEN people were killed. Management knew about problems with the rig
for months but decided to continue production. It was reckless endangerment of the lives of their employees and the health of the environment. Unless making an example of these decision makers happens (firings with golden parachutes do not count), we will see more of this sort of thing elsewhere. There need to consequences; not necessarily the death penalty; but there has to be major disincentive.

I have to add my comments. Of course. *chucklin*

Obviously there has to be consequences from such a major natural disaster. They are also lessons to be learned from them.I think Brad saying he would give them "death penalty" is his expressing how strongly he feels about it.Their greed fgot the best of them, something they will have to live with the rest of their lives. If they don't care, which is pretty much impossible because the eye of the people is on them. I think that is pretty powerful penalty and one I feel they should have to live with. It kills me to see what it is doing to the wildlife. But I still believe in "everything happens for a reason"

Greed is so powerful in this world, we destroy it ourselves. And it hasn't happened over night, we have followed right along with it for years. We are forced to live with the results of it.
