Celebrity Marriages: Success Vs Failure
What Are We Really Learning from Famous Relationships?

News of the late Elizabeth Edwards omitting her husband, John Edwards, from her will is not completely shocking to anyone who has followed recent headlines. John , a former US senator from North Carolina and vice
presidential nominee in 2004, became the object of the media's scrutiny in January 2010, when he admitted to fathering a child with former campaign aide Rielle Hunter. Elizabeth and John legally separated early last year. Meanwhile, Elizabeth was involved in an ongoing battle with breast cancer, which she had bravely fought with periods of remission since 2004. Elizabeth 's will named her three children as her only beneficiaries.
As a female newlywed, the story of John and Elizabeth Edwards is disheartening. After 35 years of marriage, John admitted to having an affair and fathering a child with another woman. Elizabeth is not alone. Many celebrities have faced similar situations. Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Elin Woods, Christie Brinkley and many others have ended marriages because of a husband's infidelity.
Elizabeth, mother of John's three children, a lawyer, a survivor, a wife supporting her husband's campaign as she battled cancer, had a cheating husband. Jennifer, Sandra, Christie and Elin, all beautiful and talented women, had cheating husbands. If these women haven't found the secret to keeping their husbands at home, what chance do the rest of us have?
We can certainly argue celebrity and political figures are more likely to cheat. They are faced with frequent temptation as they meet women willing to ignore a wedding ring. These couples spend long periods apart during campaigns, movie-making, and sports seasons. There's also the root to most evils: an unlimited bank account combined with a huge ego.
Our society has become inundated with negatives. The media regularly feed us tales of infidelity and divorce. Yet the media fail to report about positive relationship milestones and anniversaries. Bob Hope was married for 69 years when he died in 2003. We didn't hear any reports about what happened when his will was read.

Huh, I beg to differ that there is no chance for the rest of us if these women can't keep their man at home.It just goes to show that just because a man is rich and famous means he is lacking in other areas that are completely unappealing to women everywhere. For me it wasn't surprising about John Edwards. I could see he was a snake way back to when he was on the VP ticket. I seriously cringe when anyone even suggests that man is handsome. Icky man! If I was his wife I would haunt him into old age. *stare*
Wouldn't ever have put Brad in the same catagory with John Edwards but I suppose if the shoe fits, he should wear it. And for a scrawny toothpick like Jolie. What undemanding men they are. Makes me chuckle that they get exactly what they deserve. To be the root of all evil isn't anything to be proud of. *smirk*
The only way to control the media is to be at the root of all evil. Living a life without morality will always be the main focus. So next time people rejoice that Brad and Angelina are the King and Queen of Hollywood,... Hollywood loves media attention, Hollywood loves lack of morality, Hollywood loves negativiy and keeping issues all stirred up...it means Brangelina are the root of all evil. Certainly they are sold as the best couple in the world through the eyes of the media.
I feel sad for the fans that worship them so. Crap I even feel bad for Brad from time to time. I think he deserved so much more. In some situations I even feel bad for Jolie. She is the darkest of all in the whole thing and I really believe when she started out to help those in need, it was for more than the just the PR of it. Somehow along the way, she convinced herself that she could use it in every aspect of her life. That is where she lost any respect. She enjoyed the media attention her humanitarian efforts gave her. And in reality, there is nothing glamorous about the situation of refuges and survivors of war. Her NEED for attention over shadowed the cause. And makes her look like a person using the "poor" to inflate her own ego.The media will never call her out on it, they rejoice in that sort of insensitivity. One thing is for certain, I ain't buying it, and I do have a voice that I can call her out on it. She doesn't fool me in the least.
