Funny you should mention the Tourist, i just saw it the other night too! I never expected it to be a work of art, that's for sure, but it definitely was even below my already low expectations. It's like she was phoning it in for that entire movie. I think she didnt even try to hide it in the interviews that the main reason why she took the role was the location. Who wouldn't want to be playing dress-up in Venice for a couple of months? She clearly did this to wear glamorous clothes and gallivant all over Venice. Plain and simple. What was Johnny Depp thinking, that's my main question. He is way WAY better than this. As is the director, who made that amazing movie The Lives of Others in his native Germany. And then they gave him a big fat paycheck and he turned around and made this pile of crap. Sort of disheartening to see... oh well, that's Hollywood for ya. It was a glossy little flick but for all its purpose, at least Jolie and Depp could've mustered up some skill to fake some chemistry between them or actually have a love scene in there or something. They had zero sizzle between the two of them, it was painful to watch. I guess the only men she ends up having some serious sizzle with onscreen end up with her offscreen, so maybe that's for the better then, for Brad's sake :)
