Corey HaimActor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose -- possibly accidental -- according to LAPD. He was 38.

Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.

Haim shot to fame in the 80s -- when he co-starred in a number of films, including "The Lost Boys," with Corey Feldman.

So sad, and another reason why exploiting children is so very dangerous. I remember him in so many movies. Prescription drugs are a life long addiction. Always better to avoid taking them before it consumes life.

Sad, in death, he has the few moments in the spotlight he so needed in life.

Hopefully he will find the p[eace in death that he couldn't find in life. RIP Corey. My prayers go out to the family he has left behind.
