See, i disagree with you, buddy, for some reason he does not look attractive to me in these particular pics. That beard ages him and he looks like an old man, as much as it breaks my heart to think that. The hat didnt do much for him either. He looks 50 years old here, for the first time. And he has the potential to still look in his 30's, despite being 46, not to look like he's actually 46. Of course there's nothing wrong with looking 46, i am just saying he looks even older than that to me and that upsets me. I wish he would just shave that damn goat's beard on his chin.... But of course i do still love him, nothing will ever change that, even when he's 80 :)

Oh, i'm sure your son knows the movie Superbad, it was really popular, especially amongst the young adults. Brad is actually a big fan of that movie too, maybe that's how the actor who plays McLovin got cast in this one...I am rolling at you comparing it to a dish in McDonalds, i think that was the whole point. Like Big Mac, big McLOVIN'...get it? ;) They plucked that nerdy kid out of nowhere and now he's a big star, starring in movies produced by Brad Pitt...just goes to show, Hollywood does make some dreams come true. It's funny, i think the attractive people actually have the short end of the stick there now, cuz there are a gazillion pretty looking people around and all they get is some tiny role on a CW show like remakes of 90210 and Melrose Place and then eventually fade into the obscurity. But you take someone unique-looking like a super geek or a severely obese young woman like Gabourey Sidibe (who starred in Precious and was nominated for an Oscar) and they become huge practically overnight. It almost pays to be nerdy or overweight in Hollywood these days but you also need charisma and acting chops to go with it, obviously, people need to be drawn in & want you to succeed. But no more bland gorgeous young things, being nice to look it is no longer enough, or can even be a hinderence... that's refreshing to see.

I have seen Avatar and while i loved the effects, i had a lot of problems with the plot. It was the same old story, humans against nature. I dont think it told anything new or made people see the world in a different way, it only made them long for a beautiful planet like Pandora, which we dont have. It didnt strike an emotional chord with me but i did enjoy it for its effects, it's definitely a stunning visual experience. I also recently saw Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland in 3D and really enjoyed that one too.

Myst
