I don't know Mystie, I think when it comes to Doug he does it because he cares. I doubt he wants fame after observing what it has done to his brother. I think with Doug it is probably because he really cares and less about the PR of it. That is my take on it.If he wanted the press of it he would of posed with Jolie or Brad for that matter. One thing is probably for certain, Jolie will try to take credit for him getting involved. Maybe she is the heartbeat that makes that family tick. Who really knows. They did seem to get more involved once she became a member of their family.
