Philip Seymour Hoffman joins Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill in Moneyball

I think MONEYBALL is officially near the top of my most anticipated movies. The story of the Oakland A’s putting together a winning baseball team based on financial calculations that manager Billy Beane had crafted is generating quite an impressive cast. Joining Brad Pitt (as Beane) are Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Wright Penn. Hoffman is reteaming with his CAPOTE director Bennett Miller. If the deals are finalized, Wright-Penn would play Beane’s ex wife while Hoffman would play Art Howe, the general manager that clashed with Beane.

I foresee some great dialogue in this film and some good shouting matches between Hoffman and Pitt. Miller has shown a knack for bringing out the best in his actors, so this should be a good film.

Sounds like this movie is finally a go. I wonder where those children will call home this time? Back in California? Maybe this is another movie he is making for his children, or, for Maddox. The perks that child gets for being the child of a celebrity. Hopefully he will remember that they gave him the only childhood they could with their combined starpower. Hopefully he won't ever see it for what it really is. Course, that confines him to his fishbowl his entire life, but, at that point putting his needs first will be much too overwelming for him. He can always watch his parents movies over and over.Good thing Brad is geering his movies for his children at very least. At least one parent has some vision for them in the future. Good for Brad!
