Angelina Jolie Learned to Fly For Her Son

The inquisitr : Angelina Jolie learned to fly as a birthday present for her son. The actress, who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt, took pilot lessons after realizing how much her eldest child, Maddox, now eight, enjoyed watching planes go by.
She explained, “When Maddox was one and a half, we used to go to the airfield, have lunch and watch the planes. And it dawned on me: I could fly. So I promised him I would fly by his second birthday.”
The ‘Salt’ star admits she loves boarding a plane alone as it is the only time she gets the solitude she craves. She added to Vanity Fair magazine, “it’s the only place I’m completely alone – up in the air, detached from everything. “Brad loves the technical aspects. He loves the checks, loves all the maths. I’m terrible at the maths, but I love that I can go anywhere and have that freedom. He’s more patient. I tend to drive it to the ground.”

I felt this response is "right on" in my opinion...
It's really bizarre and pathological how her brain works. It's like she's trying to create a faux "mother-child" bond by saying that everything that she does is because of her kids, action movies because of her kids, so they will see how cool she is, flying lessons because of Maddox...This is her way of excusing the fact that she has ZERO knowledge about her own kids, she has no insight into their real personalities, needs, preferences, so she makes up these ridiculous stories about how her children want her to do this and that. The latest is that Shiloh wanted her to get her hair cut as well. Funny how the only time she talks about her children's needs is when it involves something about her, ahem, pathological narcissism. She doesn't say, well my child likes this Disney movie, or my child really enjoys tennis, it's always about Jolie's hobbies. The kids always like Jolie's hobbies.
This is also her sad attempt at portraying herself as the selfless mother who does everything that her kids want. When in fact she's the one who pursues all these risky, selfish desires, and then chalks it up to her kids wanting it. I guess Maddox also wanted Brad Pitt to be "daddy" so she just had to have him. Shiloh wanted to move to France. Zahara picked out the Venetian mansion they stayed at. Any real mother knows that her stories are utter bs. She's projecting so many adult things onto her kids, it's ridiculous. I guess a newborn baby also has the capacity to be disatisfied with her own gender, because she was dressed in "boys' clothing for the first photo-shoot. When is some real professional going to call her out on this bs? Because if she was any old non-famous woman, living on some suburban street somewhere, someone would have reported her. Bruises on her kids, prematurely knocked out teeth, dressing the one daughter as a boy, constant screaming matches, someone would have reported her. This just shows that money can protect you from the law.
