Well, Gina, you pretty much said nearly the same exact thing as me LOL But that still doesn't support why we need organized religion, why we can't all carry faith in our hearts and honor it in our own ways, without rules and regulations that come with it being organized religion, or for that matter, separating it into categories like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc. It makes it unnecessarily complicated, in my opinion...That's what i keep trying to say. Just have faith and enlightenment within yourself that a higher power is watching over you and hence you should live a good life. If you want to pray, pray. If you want to give thanks, give thanks. And for that matter, i dont think we need to put a face on that higher being and say it's Jesus or Allah or whoever, who needs all that mambo jambo. You just need to have faith in something out there that helped you be created and that's all you really need.
Also, I am not a big advocate of science over faith, all i said was that no one will ever know what happens after we die but relying on Heaven and Hell so much to help you do the right thing is not the answer in my humble opninion, i feel people should just live their lives with a purpose and even if nothing happens at the end and the soul just ceases to exist along with the body, at least we can die knowing we lived a good life and let others do the same.
Is there anything else i'm missing? :)
