Gina, the movie you're talking about is called Year of the Dog. I was going to bring it up too but decided not to overloaded people with information hehe It's such a sweet movie too, really struck a chord with me, i saw it in its entirety. It stars Molly Shannon, who coincidentally enough was also on SNL, but before Maya Rudolph. I dont think she's homely looking, she's no big beauty but i think she can look really cute at times. That movie is a must see for dog lovers like us, her dog dies and she falls into this depression at first, then she goes a little off the deep end and tries to adopt all these dogs but in the end she turns her life around & becomes a stronger person because of all of it. Really is a good message in it.
i've seen it so long ago that i dont remember who's who initially but yes, Laura Dern is in it and the guy from Good Girl as well, John C. Reilly, his role is hilarious in it.

Away We Go just came out on DVD so it wouldn't be on movie channels yet so you can either wait or rent the DVD :)

Myst
