Well, Gina, i do feel like i opened a can of worms with you and that's exactly what i was trying to avoid...But i'll answer your question nonetheless

I think you can very well be spiritual without believing in THE God. I believe in something out there we can't explain, in a higher being that may look over us but i dont believe in the need to belong to an organized religion or follow a strict set of rules in order to prove anything to God. With Christianity, it is believing that Jesus is the son of God, obviously having Jewish roots i dont believe in that. But the Jewish religion comes with a lot of unneccessary rules: kosher, Shabbat, etc etc. That's where i feel that just living your life honorably and being kind to others is enough. If you're going through a hard time and you want to ask the higher being for help, good. If you're going through a great lucky streak and you want to thank the higher being for your blessings, great. But i feel everyone should do that in their own way, it doesn't need to be a prayer in church/synanogue, it certainly should not be expected to be done every Sun (or Fri- for Shabbat) like clockwork either. The problem i see with organized religion, of ANY kind, is that eventually it spills out to where people inadvertedly spill their beliefs out onto others. Why should i do a, b, c just to say i believe in God. I believe we're not alone on this earth, that's all i need to believe. I believe in nature and beauty that was created for a reason. And all that, to me, is being spiritual.

Hope that answered your question, i dont really want to delve into this any further because it can be one neverending discussion. But yes, i would've hoped that if Brad is agnostic, then he would say he's spiritual too and believe in the same thing i do....but it's perfectly fine if he doesn't. I dont think he should change who he is just because his Christian parents are hoping to reunite in heaven with him :)
