Hmm, on IMDB it lists 4 people's names as producers and Brad's not one of them so i dont think this is a Plan B production, Gina. This movie was really expensive to make because of all the special effects and i have a feeling due to the fact that Plan B is a relatively new production company, i doubt they would have enough money to finance this. While he did produce relatively big budget movies such as The Departed, a lot of his movies were fairly low budget and indie.

Btw, i started checking out the reviews and message board at CCofBB page on IMDB.com and it really sucks you in :) There was a heated debate going on precisely the stuff we've been discussing here, check it out. As for reviews, i was pretty happy to see that for every really bad review, there would be at least 10 absolutely raving ones. There are over 260 reviews total so suffice to say this movie has made a pretty strong impact with people.

Here's the IMDB page where you can find the message board and the reviews
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421715/

And rottentomatoes.com gave it a 72% positive rating which is pretty darn good, that site is pretty tough :)
