Defend her all you want. I don't think there is anything special about this gal and I really dislike the manner that she presents herself to the public.I think she is a horrible example for this world and especially young women.
I actually watched parts of Girl Interrupted the other night. It is beyond me what the big deal is about that movie. It was a pathetic movie about girls that have no common sense what so ever. As far as Jolie's character in that movie went, I knew a girl just like her character in that movie. She was one of my good friends when i was younger. She was a lost soul and was jealous of everyone around her. She wanted everyone to feel as bad as she did about herself. She used sex to gain attention from men.I know all too well that type and I don't believe it is anything to be glorified. I did take sympathy for her and befriended her, but, at the expense of many of my others friends who wanted nothing to do with her. It was a huge waste of my time as my friends told me it would be, but, I did learn important lessons at a young age hanging with her. I learned how fortunate I am to have strong roots and a solid base of my family unit.I learned that I was blessed with a family who would do anything for me in my time of need. That they cared about the direction i took with my life and stood strong beside me every step of the way. It is sad that there are plenty of gals out there like in this movie, to exploit them is a damn shame in my opinion. Like they did in that movie.Sad, so very sad.
As far as Brad goes, he is just a common man, plain and simple. He doesn't carry any great wisdom or have any great insight. He is no different than all the others. That was the hardest part to accept about him because I always really believed he had an edge over the rest, an advantage. I was wrong and I hate being wrong about such things.With the help of wisdom from my bloodlines, I see that all too clearly now and feel fortunate for it. Thus is life.
Just goes to show, just because we feel a connection with the characters they play, doesn't mean we know anything about the person they really are in life. Brad pitt has shown his true colors since hooking up with Jolie and I am not impressed at all. Actaully I think he showed his true colors all along, only I was blind to them for a long time. I realize the man I have chosen to be with in my life, Brad couldn't hold a candle to on his best day. The lesson is, we don't have to look any further than what stands right in front of us. I have the best man and no male celebrity could ever stand beside him let alone challenge him with the honor and strength that he carries deep within him. I see that so very clearly now and give thanks that I have strong bloodlines to embrace me into knowing, I am the one who is blessed by sharing my love with such a man thoughtout my life. So, these celebrities can gloat about how great they are, they don't hold a candle to the man in my real life.
