Hi all, I see the board is still running. I was not here for a whole year, but it's nice to see that the board is still there.
Although Brad is still on every cover I am not really up to date what's going on in his life. I haven't seen his latest films, the last was Babel.
But I am so looking forward to watching Benjamin Button, I only hear very good things and 13 Oscar nominations is something. I am a bit surprised that he received a nod too, since he never was a critic favourite.
Of course he will not win, it will probably go to Mickey Rourke who is the comeback kid. The academy likes such stories. They also love Sean Penn, so it could be him too. Brad will NEVER win an Oscar and I love that he knows that, and has no problems with it ;)
Why did they overlook Cate Blanchett? I heard she was pretty good in BB too and she is an Academy favourite. The other Kate, named Winslet, bores me. But I love that Meryl Streep won the SAG last night over Winslet. Will she do the same at the Oscars? It's about time that Meryl wins her third Oscar, she won the last one 26 years ago! She is such an awesome actress. I heard she holds the record with 15 nominations. Her movie sounds so interesting, in Doubt she plays a nun. Has anyone watched it?
Oh, and Brad looks very handsome in that video-interview. He hardly ages. Of course he was the one to play Benjamin Button, who else? Talk about method-acting ;) Maybe Brad is a better actor than most people give him credit for.
Hope everything is well with you all,
Terry
